Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans

En un día como hoy, hace 24 años, le arrebataron al mundo uno de sus tesoros más preciados.
Era una persona que ansiaba con todas sus fuerzas volver a ser alguien normal y corriente. Desgraciadamente no sucedió así, y el fanatismo irracional de un loco acabó con su vida a través de seis disparos.
Nació en un barrio normal, en una ciudad cualquiera, pero el destino quiso que no fuera un chico como los demás. Y el azar le unió a otros tres chicos para que formaran uno de los grupos musicales más importantes de toda la historia.
Quien no se haya sentido influido por él de alguna manera, es que no ha rebuscado demasiado en tales influencias.
Su imagen es ya una leyenda, tanto para los que disfrutaron de su música mientras vivía como para los que nacimos después de aquel 8 de Diciembre de 1980. De cualquier modo, todo ese legado musical perdurará para siempre, y podremos disfrutar de él aunque ya no esté junto a nosotros.
